Celebrating 5 Amazing Bee Jeweled Coops of 2024!
I am constantly amazed by all the incredible coops our community builds! While every Bee Jeweled Coop we see deserves recognition, I'm excited to highlight five builds that showcase different styles, sizes, and creative solutions. From cozy mini-coops to spectacular XL builds, these examples demonstrate just some of the endless possibilities. Let's take a peek at these inspiring builds!
1. A Slope-Side Beauty by Druthers Homestead (4x8 Coop with Custom Run)
When Alley first showed us they were building on a steep slope, we knew this would be a unique project! Starting with our 4x8 Bee Jeweled Coop Plans, they got creative with the foundation - and wow, did they nail it. The way they engineered the base keeps everything rock-solid, even on that tricky hillside. We love how they designed a custom run that follows the natural slope of their land. The corrugated roofing was a brilliant touch, letting sunshine pour into the run while keeping their chickens covered in rainy weather. And those colors? The crisp white with light-blue accents looks absolutely stunning against their wooded backdrop. It's the perfect classic farmhouse touch!
2. Ranch Down The Lane's Dream Design (8x12 XL Coop)
It was such a joy watching Ranch Down The Lane bring this 8x12 XL Bee Jeweled Coop to life! I always recommend starting with more space than you initially need. While this coop can house up to 25 chickens, Ranch Down The Lane built it for their smaller flock, giving them plenty of room to live and grow over the years. We loved seeing all the thoughtful customizations come together, especially Lindsey's clever twist on the nesting boxes. Instead of going with our external design from the building plans, she created her own internal rollaway nesting boxes (and they're just adorable!). You can see her nesting box design here. The attention to detail on every aspect of this build is incredible, and the neutral color scheme creates a timeless look that will add charm any backyard. It's amazing to see how much love and craftsmanship went into every step of this build!
3. Mary Anderson's Mini Marvel
I'm in love with the sweet details on Mary Anderson's Mini Bee Jeweled Coop! The pink trim adds the perfect pop of color against the white exterior, from the decorative nesting box to the charming pattern on the door. The Mini Bee Jeweled Coop is our smaller 4x4 raised design, and Mary made it her own with beautiful personal touches for her 3 chickens. The roof shingles and decorative gingerbread trim in the peak add such a charming, cottage-style touch! Inside the coop you'll find a thoughtfully designed interior with durable vinyl flooring, roosting bars, and ventilation windows for lots of airflow. This build shows just how perfect a smaller coop can be for urban and suburban backyards!
4. Tall Pines Acres' Masterpiece (4x8 Coop)
The attention to detail in Tall Pines Acres' 4x8 Bee Jeweled Coop is absolutely stunning! Their black and white color scheme is giving us all the modern farmhouse vibes. We were so fortunate to follow along with their entire build process on @TallPinesAcres Instagram page. Watching them thoughtfully tackle each step of construction really showed us just how much care went into every detail. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior - I love the contrast between the beautiful wood ceiling and white rafters, those charming pine trees on the back wall, and the litter shelf layout with built-in steps for easy roost access. This 4x8 coop is basically the little black dress of chicken coops - always in style!
5. About Six Acres' Texas-Sized Vision (8x12 XL Coop)
We were absolutely thrilled to follow along as Nick and Juana of @aboutsixacres brought their 8x12 XL Bee Jeweled Coop vision to life! Every step of their build was thoughtfully considered, and the results are stunning. Their custom touches are everywhere - from the gorgeous custom dutch door to that gleaming metal roof that looks incredible under the Texas sky. Inside, they created such a smart layout, incorporating a litter shelf with storage space underneath while keeping the side open for easy nesting box access. They completely made the interior their own, and we especially love that charming rooster wallpaper! The deck landing adds beauty and function to the entrance, while the screened windows keep everything bright and airy. It's amazing to see how builders like Nick and Juana can take our plans and transform them into something uniquely their own.
