I'm excited to share our story with you. I'm Alysha, the creator and designer behind Bee.Jeweled.Coop.
Drawing from my early childhood memories growing up on the farm lands of Wisconsin, my younger years on a horse farm in New Hampshire, and then settling in the vibrant spirit of North Carolina, I created a little backyard farm in the suburbs where I now reside. I combined my knowledge of farm-life with suburban living and share my slice of this world with you through Bee.Jeweled.Coop! Come explore the wonders of chicken-keeping, bee-keeping, and micro-homesteading with me.
From past to present
From a young age, surrounded by horses, cows, dogs, cats, and bunnies on our family farm, I developed a deep connection with nature and a profound appreciation for the farm life. The lessons of empathy, respect, and hard work learned from these animals shaped my passion and set me on a path of discovering how to work with animals in a beautiful and sustainable way.
Settling down in North Carolina, I embarked on a journey of learning and growth. Guided by my connection with animals and the need to build a more sustainable lifestyle (goodbye, factory farming!), I dove into the intricacies of homesteading, adding different skillsets to our home, one step at a time.
